Love for them was always so disabling. Love for him betrayed her. Love for her freed him to give me away. I held onto them with my fingers and toes, and still, they shook me off. They looked past me. They didn’t mean to always see each other.
Your poetry is as beautiful as your narrative writing. And, it was nice to hear your voice, albeit in such a melancholy piece.
